Aussies Shouldn't Disregard the Falcon
Ford Australia is still keen for Australian car buyers to consider the brand, despite recent closure announcements.
Ford Australia president, Bob Graziano, said that new versions of its Falcon and Territory models due to hit showrooms next year will be the best yet, according to motoring.com.au.
Graziano claimed that Ford will continue to provide parts and service options for ten years after production ceases in October 2016, and stands by the quality of the company's product.
Although Ford continues to make losses on its cars, Graziano does not anticipate an early closure date for production in Australia, stating that the intention is to continue building cars until October 2016.
The report said that the Falcon is to be discontinued after this time, but that the Territory name may have new life as an imported SUV. Ford Australia has reported losses of more than $400 million in the last two years.
