Why do we work with them?

As part of our Women, Children, and Community program, 13 of our loans.com.au team members recently volunteered their time with Palliative Care Queensland to help prepare for the upcoming National Palliative Care Week (11–17 May 2025).

Together, we have helped pack 93 MP folders, 27 boxes, and 1,320 bags of vital materials that will support awareness and education across the state during the National Palliative Care week. This initiative marks 30 years of Australia’s largest annual discussion on ‘matters of life and death’—a week dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of palliative care and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.

Palliative Care Queensland is a proud charity partner of the Brisbane Broncos and plays a vital role in supporting Queenslanders with terminal illnesses. One of their most touching programs is Ambulance Wish Queensland, which grants last wishes to palliative and end-of-life patients. Using retired ambulances donated by the Queensland Ambulance Service, the program provides safe, caring, and memorable experiences for patients and their loved ones.

Why do we work with them?

We are incredibly proud to support such a compassionate organisation. Palliative Care Queensland embodies the spirit of care and dignity, reminding us of the importance of community, empathy, and support—especially in life’s most delicate moments.
