Tell us about yourself...

My name is Ellie and I'm a university student currently studying a Bachelor of Finance & Economics. I have three older brothers and a younger sister, and I love spending time at the beach with friends and family.

What's your role and how long have you been with the company?

I have been an intern in the Finance & Treasury team at Firstmac since May 2021. I've loved my experience at Firstmac so far, especially learning more about the world of RMBS.

What is your involvement with the loans.com.au Women, Children & Community Program?

I participated in the Ronald McDonald House Bake-off in December this year. I had a fun day baking small goods for families at the Ronald McDonald House while getting to know lots of loans.com.au and Firstmac staff from other departments.

What do you think of the Program?

I think the loans Women, Children & Community Program is a great initiative to encourage staff to take time out of their busy schedules to do some charity work. Not only does it make a positive difference in the community, but it's also a nice way to get to know other team members.

Why did you choose to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House?

I chose to volunteer with Ronald McDonald House because I enjoy cooking and thought it would be fun! I also thought it was a great thing to do for families under the stress of having a child in hospital - hopefully we took some stress away from their day.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering?

I would definitely say to sign up! I certainly enjoyed myself.
