Meet our team: Jacky

As part of the Women, Children & Community Program, we’re interviewing some of the special people who make our program what it is. From our staff volunteers to founders of our partner charities to special members of our local community, we want to share their stories.

Get to know one of our team members, Jacky.

Tell us about yourself...

My name is Jacky, I live in Brisbane with my partner. My interests are Rugby League in particular the Brisbane Broncos. I also like catching up with friends for lunch and going on long walks with my dog.

What's your role and how long have you been with the company?

I work as a Sales Support Officer and have worked at Firstmac for 11 years now.

What is your involvement with the Women, Children & Community Program?

I had wonderful opportunity to volunteer to assist an amazing organisation called Baby Give Back.

What do you think of the Program?

The Women, Children & Community Program is amazing. I loved the opportunity to be able to give back and see how everything is put together, from sorting and cleaning toys to packing toiletries to assisting with deliveries ready for next week.

Why did you choose Baby Give Back as your volunteer day?

I have always wanted to actually volunteer to be able to give back to the community.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering?

Do it, it was the most rewarding thing I have ever done, it’s so good to able to assist our community.
