Tell us about yourself...
I’m Rick, father of a 3 year old girl and been with my partner for 11 and a half years. I'm a cricket nerd and love my rugby league and a keen Dragons fan (sorry Broncos!)
What's your role and how long have you been with the company?
I work in our car loans team and am also working in the home loans team.
What is your involvement with the loans.com.au Women, Children & Community Program?
I have participated in the last 2 Darkness to Daylight events, I was able to raise nearly $300 and I have walked over 800kms during those two months.
What do you think of the Program?
I have a high respect for any causes that helps those in need. I am glad loans.com.au is able to focus their energy to help others. This comes at a great cost in terms of working hours and direct financial costs to the company and I am glad to be a part of it.
Why did you choose these causes to get involved with?
It was great to be a group of like-minded people who are volunteering their finite time to even recognise less fortunate people let alone raise funds.
What would you say to someone considering volunteering?
I would say there is only upside, it gives you time to think about others while giving them a voice to be heard all while bettering yourself in terms of fitness.
